Ya he dicho por aquí un montón de veces que me encantan los retellings. ¿Cómo contar una historia conocida, pero con un ingrediente novedoso que llame nuestra atención? El desafío es atrayente y cautivante y si no se ejecuta bien puede resultar en un chasco de proporciones.

Por eso, siempre le echo un vistazo a los retellings que se avecinan. En general, me atraen mucho más aquellos de historias que conozco (yep, soy cliché, porque siempre que veo por ahí un retelling de La Bella y la Bestia no me puedo resistir), así que me sorprende cuando me decanto por historias de las que tengo apenas una idea, tal y como me pasó con El oscuro descenso de Elizabeth Frankenstein. De hecho, el próximo retelling que quiero leer con ansias es de la misma autora. ¿Se imaginan cuál?

¿Vieron esa portada? ¿Esa frase inicial? "No había nada en el mundo tan mágico ni aterrador como una chica". ¡Por favor! ¡Tiene una pinta tremenda! No he leído las leyendas artúricas, pero, como muchos, tengo una noción básica de la historia y un retelling con Guinevere como punto central me parece una idea maravillosa.

Lo bueno es que esta novela será publicada próximamente por Puck en nuestra idioma, así que no habrá excusas para no leerlo. ¿Quién dijo yo? 😁
